In conjunction with Out in the World: Ireland’s LGBTQ+ diaspora exhibition, we are delighted to launch the new Out in the World educational resource pack; a lesson plan and teaching resource to guide your classroom activities when teaching about human rights and LGBTQ+ history in the classroom.
Using the themes of the Out in the World exhibition (exclusion, community, love, defiance, solidarity and return); combining biography, discussion questions, trivia and creative activities, plus longer form projects and a list of resources, classes will be introduced to figures from both EPIC’s permanent exhibition and the temporary exhibition. These exercises will enable students to build upon their empathy, problem solving, teamwork, community, and social and world citizen skills in the classroom. This is a free complementary pack to our ‘Out in the World’ Workshop that provides classroom activities for before and after the workshop, but it does not cover the same material.
