We were delighted to recently hold the official launch of ‘Looking East: Ireland + India‘, our new temporary multimedia exhibition at EPIC, celebrating the deep and enduring connections between Ireland and India.
The launch was attended by esteemed guests, including Leo Varadkar, TD and former Taoiseach, author Cauvery Madhavan, and H.E. Akhilesh Mishra, Ambassador of India to Ireland. Their insightful addresses highlighted the historical and contemporary ties between Ireland and India, underscoring the importance of such exhibitions in fostering mutual understanding and appreciation. It was particularly heartening to see the strong presence of the Indian community in Ireland.
Adding to the event’s cultural richness, poet Nidhi Zak/Aria Eipe and singer-songwriter Panvi Podder delivered mesmerising performances. Their contributions not only entertained but also deepened the audience’s connection to the themes of the exhibition. We are grateful to all those who shared their personal stories, enriching the narrative of ‘Looking East: Ireland + India’ with their unique perspectives and experiences.
