EPIC Tour & “Pick up the Past” Workshop
At EPIC we love to get hands on with history and heritage! On our ‘Pick Up The Past’ tour, students will be guided round the museum, highlighting curriculum-specific emigrants including Isabella McDougall and Thomas Quinn. After the tour, the group will experience an interactive workshop led by a trained facilitator, exploring emigrants’ stories using a collection of objects and supporting materials.

EPIC Tour & “Techxibit” Coding Workshop
We merge the past with the future and explore fascinating history with amazing new tech! Digital technology has become one of the most powerful tools of our generation. TECHXIBIT encourages students to combine STEM, Culture, and Heritage through a combination of a guided technology-focused tour, and a hands-on coding workshops for beginners, linked to the new coding curriculum. This workshop is accredited as part of the Discover Primary Maths and Science program.

EPIC Tour & Family History Hunter Workshop
Irish Family History Centre workshops show students of all nationalities how to get started on their family history! Through fun activities, games and exercises, students get a refreshing insight in to the world of family history and how to be real historical detectives. Our sessions are curriculum-focused to suit primary and secondary, with a selection of workshops to choose from. 8-Week TY Module available.

Outside EPIC
EPIC and Jeanie Johnston School Tours
Bring the Famine to life for your class like never before with a trip to a replica of a real Famine ship. The guided tour lasts 50 minutes and students will discover how the Famine forced millions of Irish people to flee the country and seek new lives elsewhere. Students will be able to explore the famous tall ship’s upper deck before going below deck to experience what life was like on board.

EPIC and GPO Witness History
The historic GPO has a rich history and was headquarters of the 1916 Easter Rising which eventually led to the creation of the Irish Republic. Students are taken behind the historic façade of the GPO to examine modern Irish History up to present day and to reflect on how the events of the 1916 Easter Rising, War of Independence, Irish Civil War and the “Troubles” have shaped Ireland over the past 100 years.

The perfect destination for little sport fans, Croke Park is the home of Gaelic games, bringing together Irish sport, heritage and culture in one amazing location.
