Do I need to pre-book?
Pre-booking is essential. We will do our best to accommodate walk in guests on a day but this will be subject to availability.
Why do I need to buy an adult/senior ticket?
Children attending EPIC and Santa’s Grotto must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder. All tickets include entry to our museum.
Can I purchase adults tickets without child/teenager tickets?
Santa’s Grotto is family event for parents/guardians and children. At least one adult or teenager ticket must be purchased with ever child ticket to complete your booking.
My child is under 1 years old, do I need to buy a ticket?
There is no charge for children 1 years and under, however please let us know when booking if you are bringing a child of this age.
Can I purchase a Family Ticket?
Family tickets are not available to purchase for this event, all tickets are individually priced for Santa’s Grotto at EPIC Museum.
Can I book a group for Santa’s Grotto?

Can I get a refund?
We regret that tickets to Santa’s Grotto at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum are non-refundable, however they can be exchanged to a different date and time if availability allows. Please contact us on +353 (0)1 906 0861 and we will do our absolute best to accommodate you.
How long does the experience last?
Santa’s Grotto at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is a unique experience so timings may vary. However, we recommend allowing approximately 30 minutes for your visit to Santa and an hour and a half for your journey through EPIC Museum. Our opening hours are 10am – 6.45pm daily (last entry 5pm) so please plan accordingly.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the time stated on your booking.
What happens if I miss my slot?
If you fail to show for your scheduled time we will try our best to accommodate you on the next slot. However, you may be asked to visit EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum first and return to Santa’s Grotto at the end of your journey.
Are Santa’s Grotto and EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum wheelchair accessible?
Both Santa’s Grotto and EPIC are fully wheelchair accessible but should you have any special requirements please don’t hesitate to discuss this with us in advance.
Are buggies permitted?
Yes, EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is buggy-friendly.
How do I find Santa’s Grotto?
Santa’s Grotto at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is located in the vaults of the CHQ building. The CHQ Building is located in the heart of Dublin City Centre, in Dublin’s Docklands. For full directions click here to visit our Location page on our website.
Is there car parking available on site?
There is a limited amount of on-street parking located nearby on Commons Street. Park Rite IFSC multi-story car park is also located on Commons Street, to the rear of Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. Book online via Park Rite for a special weekend rate.
Will my child meet Santa?
Yes, every child will meet Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Christmas Elves.
Will my child get a present?
Yes, every child will receive a small gift in Santa’s Grotto.
Can I take my own photos?
Yes – please bring cameras/phones, as there will be many photo opportunities along your journey, both in Santa’s Grotto and EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum.
Is there a café in the museum?
There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the CHQ building that you can avail of during your visit. More details can be found here https://chq.ie/. Your ticket to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is also valid for the whole day (Opening hours 10am-6.45pm) so feel free to take a break at any time and enjoy some refreshments. Last re-entry to the Museum is 5pm, so please plan accordingly.
