EPIC hosts a dynamic programme of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, bringing fresh perspectives on the Irish diaspora and its global impact. Through our valued partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs, we are able to present exhibitions that not only celebrate Irish heritage but also connect with international communities, past and present.
Our past exhibitions have explored themes as diverse as trailblazing Irish women, maritime history, and political satire. We’ve showcased stories of migration and memory, reflected on defining moments in our modern history and looked outward to Ireland’s connections with the wider world.

EPIC features both. Alongside our permanent interactive galleries exploring the story of Irish emigration, we regularly host temporary exhibitions that shine a light on different aspects of Irish history, culture and global influence. This means there’s often something new to discover, even for returning visitors.
Our temporary exhibitions change throughout the year, with new exhibitions introduced regularly. We recommend checking our What’s On page before your visit to see what’s currently on display and what’s coming next.
Most visitors spend around 90 minutes exploring EPIC, including our current temporary exhibition. If you enjoy taking your time to read the stories and interact with every gallery, you may wish to allow up to two hours.
Admission to EPIC includes access to both our interactive museum galleries and the current temporary exhibition. The temporary exhibition is designed to complement the wider museum experience, so we encourage visitors to explore both during their visit.
