Welcome back Tiny Tots to a fun interactive storytelling session at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum!
Meet the Púca – an ancient Irish mischievous spirit linked to the harvest season in Ireland. They’ll transport you through history as you discover the Irish origins of Halloween – an autumn new year’s festival originally known as Samhain, celebrated by the ancient Irish Celtic priests called Druids.
But wait! In order to complete their spells, the Druids need to collect a very special autumn item from different celebrations around the world. Starting off in Celtic and Christian Ireland and exploring traditions such as Samhain and Halloween, we’ll then travel to see how Autumn is celebrated in different countries; creating, making, performing and exploring along the way.
Suitable for ages 3 – 6 years old, this is a special sensory, immersive workshop in which parents and children will work together to bring the magic of the story to life. At the end of the session, tots will create an animal mask inspired by the Druids and the animal mask parade from the Festival of the Yams in Ghana to bring home!
Each ticket covers one child and one adult. Check in for this event is at the EPIC reception desk.
