For Black History month, explore the story of cross-migration and influence between Ireland and the Black Atlantic by visiting our exhibition Revolutionary Routes with a rhyming trail treasure hunt. Can you find the songs, books, and plays?

Developed in collaboration with the African American Irish Diaspora Network, a group devoted to recognising the multifaceted identities and legacies that are rooted in this shared history, be introduced to figures such as Ira Aldridge, the most famous African American actor of the 19th century, who performed across Ireland in the early 1800s.

Once you’ve discovered all the answers to the riddles, create your own zine together, celebrating your class and figures that inspire you from the past and present. Exploring themes such as equality, revolution, solidarity, ally-ship, anti-racism, minority experiences and emigration, this event will get the whole class talking about what positive impact and change means to them.

Individual classes can book a session throughout the day, each workshop takes one hour.
