It’s time to climb aboard your rocket and venture out into the galaxy in this Space Week special where we discover the influence of Irish women in space travel.
Suitable for primary school students, meet Irish astronauts such as Eileen Collins, the first female pilot and commander of a space shuttle and astrophysist Jocelyn Bell Burnell, whose discovery of a new type of star won a Nobel Prize. Then see if you have what it takes to follow in their footsteps by taking part in our interactive space camp – a series of fun sensory and drawing activities designed to let your students experience life in space from their seats in the classroom.
For this workshop you will need some paper (any colour) and drawing material such as colouring pencils, markers or crayons.
Important: This workshop is designed for Primary School level students, and is offered at a reduced rate of €25.00 euro per booking. It is suitable for both school and home school students. Special rates available for home school students, contact us for details. Please do not journey to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum for this session.
