With the visit of Pope Francis in Dublin this weekend, EPIC’s opening hours on 25th and 26th August (10am – 6.45pm with last entry at 5pm) will be unaffected by any restrictions. However, access by road & public transport will be limited at certain times over the weekend.
Please read the restrictions below in advance of your planned visit to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum so that you can prepare and allow extra time to reach The CHQ Building.
LIST OF RESTRICTIONS
- For Luas Tram restrictions, click here.
- For Dublin Bus restrictions, click here.
- Irish Rail will be running a normal service on Saturday, and a full schedule and extra services on Sunday. Click here for details.
- For those planning to travel to EPIC by car, please note that there are substantial road closures throughout the city. We advise for those travelling by car to approach from the northside via the Dublin Bay coastal route, Port Tunnel and East Link Bridge. We would advise you to check the full list of road closures and maps on the official site.
Should any of these restrictions be too much of a deterrent in you reaching EPIC, we would welcome the opportunity to allow you to re-schedule your pre booked visit to another day of your choosing. You can contact us at +353 (0)1 906 0861 to reschedule should you need to (please note that we can only do this with advance notice before Saturday 25th August).
