Become a Historian
Learn what it takes to be a detective of the past in this workshop designed for budding historians of all ages. Catered to support the secondary level ‘Become an historian’ strand and history curriculum, students will leave their text books behind and learn from our historian-in-residence.

Emigrants Suitcase
This workshop highlights curriculum-specific topics such as STEM, war and the Irish Famine emigrants including Isabella McDougall and Thomas Quinn and explores emigrants’ stories using a collection of objects and supporting materials.

Tiny Tots
Meet some of the museum’s famous characters in a fun, interactive storytelling session for Junior -1st class students. Activities include singing, drawing, mathematics and sensory exploration, led by our Education and Outreach Officer.

Techxhibit
Combining STEM, Culture, and Heritage, this workshop consists of hands-on coding workshops for beginners, linked to the new coding curriculum.

Women’s History
Emigration allowed many Irish women access to opportunities that just weren’t available on Irish shores. These workshops explore their fascinating stories through a creative output such as poster making or illustration.

Lectures/webinars
This 60 min virtual experience includes a lecture and interactive Q&A session tailored to your students’ particular area of study. Topics include Irish emigration, The Irish Famine, Women’s History, Museum Operations, and Sales and Marketing.
